Thetahealing is a growing philosophy all over the world that promotes spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. It was developed in the middle of the 1990’s by a woman named Vianna Stibal who was able to cure herself from cancer. Amazing as it sounds, she has dedicated her life teaching this revolutionary way of thinking.
Thetahealing involves the use of theta brain waves to produce what they call the theta state. In this state, the mind and body of a person reaches a feeling of relaxation and healing.
A human brain emits four different kinds of brain waves: beta, alpha, delta, and theta. A person who is awake and active emits beta waves, the brain waves that are most active. People produce this in various activities like walking, talking, and working. After doing an activity and as the body rests, the person is in the alpha state. It represents non-arousal activity of the brain as it is much slower than beta. When you sleep, the brain then produces delta waves. These waves are the slowest in frequency but the greatest in amplitude.
When a person daydreams, he or she is in a state wherein the brain emits theta waves. Anybody can achieve this state by doing mundane activities like driving a car on a freeway or running a usual route. The body is habituated in doing that activity that your brain can wander off. The brain is therefore more prone to produce more creative ideas. With the use of theta waves, people have attained
theta healing.
The birth of
theta healing can greatly be attributed to the study of theta waves. When practitioners reach the theta state, they will be able to experience "The Creator of All That Is" in action. This creator is perceived to be like a spiritual being that brings healing. Understanding
theta healing is a step by step learning process that can only be grown in due time. By studying how your brain waves work when you are awake, asleep, or daydreaming will help you achieve a state of deep thought, concentration, and relaxation. You can further induce the theta state through focused meditation.
